What is Welcome to Paradise · The Youth Forum?

Welcome to Paradise · The Youth Forum is an international Christian Forum-Festival jointly organized by the Chemin Neuf Community and the Emmanuel Community in South Korea, from July 28 to August 2, 2027. It’s a time of formation, prayer, fellowship and cultural discovery, in preparation for World Youth Day in Seoul.

When and where does the event take place?

The festival takes place in South Korea from July 28 to August 2, 2027, followed by World Youth Day in Seoul from August 3 to 8, 2027. The host city of the festival will be announced shortly; the dates themselves are confirmed.

The day-by-day schedule is on the Programme page.

What is the theme?

The theme is “Take courage! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).

Who organizes the event?

The event is organized by the Chemin Neuf Community and the Emmanuel Community, bringing together the Welcome to Paradise festival and the Emmanuel Youth Forum.

Is it the successor to Welcome to Paradise and the Youth Forum?

Yes. The 2027 Pre-WYD Festival continues the legacy of Welcome to Paradise (Welcome to Paradise Asia), the Chemin Neuf youth festival, and the Youth Forum of the Emmanuel Community. For the first time, these two adventures come together for WYD 2027 in Seoul.
